How was your Mother’s Day?

I had a great day yesterday. We went to brunch with my in-laws, then relaxed around the house before my parents came down for a quick visit. My hubby got me a sweet card and a dozen roses. Most importantly, he took the time to thank me for everything that I do and tell me he loved me. That is really the best gift of all!

I have been blessed with the gift of several strong, godly women in my life. My mother has always been the woman I strive to become. She works hard, loves the Lord, cares for her family and does all of the above with love and kindness. Next, my grandmothers are two of the most gracious and amazing women I know. I also had the rare privilege of knowing all four of my great-grandmothers, each having their own impact on the person I am today! If those weren’t enough, I also have a wonderful mother-in-law whom I am glad to say that I can call a friend and has become like a mom to me in her own way!

… Did I mention that I am blessed?!

As a gift to our mothers, I decided to make a print of one of my favorite verses from Proverbs 31. I have always found this chapter to be an inspiration and one verse in particular spoke to me over the past few months. I thought it was such an appropriate passage for the occasion.

I love the lime background, but I also did one in mint, sorbet and orange.

I decided to frame the sorbet for my mom and the mint for Geoff’s mom. In the end, I also printed one for myself. I framed it and placed it on my dresser. Now, I can read it as I am getting dressed in the morning!
