Hi There!
We have been super busy over the past few weeks! We celebrated our son’s 4th birthday a few weeks ago and it was a blast! Now it feels like things are slowing down a bit, but I really can’t believe the beginning of May is around the corner!
I’m stopping by to show you a new project I’m working on. A client of ours has asked for a “Bohemian Moroccan” feel in their oldest daughter’s room. She has just been accepted to a prestigious art based high school and embracing her artistic and individual style. Along with an eclectic feel, the space also needs to be functional. We need to accommodate a bed, sitting/reading area, as well as ample storage for art supplies and creating masterpieces. Overall, I want the space to have well-traveled vibe, but to still embody the bright tones and whimsy of the teenage years.
Tamarin Quilt Set, Chindi Triangles Pillow, Ashti Pom Pom Pillow, Hand Loom Facet Pillow, Tassled Jacare Pillow, Bubble Knit Pillow, Coral Bamboo Curtains, Aurora String Lights, Scholar Desk Chair, Lacquer Storage Desk, Reina Chair, Moroccan Wedding Pouf, Gypsy Stripe Woven Rug, Bohemian Wool Woven Rug, Gypsy Rose Cotton Hooked Rug, & Rhapsody Wool Woven Rug
The bedding is from the Mudhut line at Target. I love the vibrance in this line mixed with a global style so this quilt was a natural choice. We will mix in pillows with various colors and textures for a “collected” look. The curtains bring in a hint of an Asian vibe and string lights will accent the panels for soft mood lighting, per the young client’s request. 😉 A large corner desk accompanied by a vintage style desk chair will provide plenty of storage and a great space for both academics and artwork. A few Dash and Albert rugs layered around the room will bring home the bohemian atmosphere while a funky peacock chair and Moroccan Pouf create a reading/sitting area.
In fact, I think this could work in a playroom, office or living space with a few tweaks and I adore the incorporation of both color and culture.
What do you think of it? Do you enjoy an eclectic space?
