Sweet Summer Time

I hope that all of you have had a great weekend. We traveled up to Lake Somerville this weekend to spend some time with my family while they were camping on the lake.

We had a great time riding around the lake on our family’s jetski. It was the first time little Christopher had been on a boat of any kind. He had a blast taking a long ride with Daddy.

Geoff and I camped at Lake Somerville regularly in our college days, but it has been a while since we were able to really take in the countryside. We both love to take a drive off of the main highway and find scenic county roads off the beaten path. This weekend we carved out a few hours to meander through the countryside.

A sign warning of “Narrow Bridge Ahead” alerted us to this old gem.

We parked here a few moments and admired the view… I would be lying if I said we didn’t hold our breath while driving over it!

Perhaps my favorite part of the trip was the sunset Saturday evening. We always stayed at Yegua Creek in the past and I have yet to be disappointed by the spectacular display our Creator paints over the lake each evening.

We are vastly blessed!
